This necklet is absolutely beautiful! I’m afraid I don’t know if it’s vintage or antique as I can’t identify the date letter. The hallmark on the back of the leaf next to the main grape cluster shows a London assay stamp and 9 .375, so it’s definitely at least vintage as it’s definitely pre 1975. However, the date letter looks like a lower case q to me and is very similar to the one for 1871 but if it’s not that one then it’s the p that dates to early 1970’s. The necklace measures 16.5” in length with the grapevine design measuring 3” across and 1.1/4” high. It has articulated joints between the gold leaves but the pearl grapes are fixed, it’s easier to see the movement of the necklace in the video. I’ve shown the pearls fluorescing under UV light to show they are real pearls. As you can see, some are lighter, some are darker but this does tend to change in different lights as you move them around. Again, it’s best to look at the video for this. The necklace is in good preloved condition with small signs of wear/age. When you look through a magnifying loupe this wear is more obvious, as you would expect and under this scrutiny it could do with a gentle clean but this isn’t obvious without the loupe. It will come in a gift box.
